Natural Form prints.

This shows some prints I created of flowers for 'The Toolkit Project'. I created black prints of flowers from primary source photos. For the first print, I used black carbon paper, I then used coloured Indian ink for a colourful, abstract background. I then created a monoprint of the same flower and used watercolour to add colour.

This shows a development page from my sketch book of 'The Toolkit Project'. I decided to base my final piece on perfume, therefore I created a page of observational drawings based on perfume bottles with varied shapes etc. For this page, I used a black fine liner pen to sketch the shape, I then added more lines to show a sense of depth and shape through a build up on line and the direction of them.

Artist copy/research.

This shows a portrait created using the style of Jorge Alderete for 'The Toolkit Project'. I based this on the original idea and figure, using similar materials and techniques to create an overall effective piece with a similar style and outcome. I used a black marker pen (Sharpie) to draw the portrait and blue and green acrylic paint for the bold, colourful shapes placed over the face.

Character idea and development.

This shows an ideas and development page of a character for my tea brand/box. I used a black fine liner pen to create multiple ideas with different elements such as dot work etc. I decided not to use a character for my final outcome as I felt it wouldn't contribute or work well with a high quality product/brand.
